Sunday was a busy day for LCSC. We had our third time trial event of the season and first this year plus a large number of swimmers where competing for their schools in the NAC in Dublin.
75 swimmers arrived ready to race in the LP and 325 individual swims took place in under 90 minutes, with 260 PBs or NTs recorded (80% strike rate). Superb effort from all with over 25 swimmers taking part for the first time with some as young as 6 years old.
Thanks as always to the all our parents supporting their swimmers and especially those that helped to officiated the trial #volunteergold.
Meanwhile down in Dublin LCSC had 17 swimmers compete throughout the day for their schools at the SI Irish Minor Schools Championships. Some superb results and lots of happy smiling faces soaking up the experience. Leo even made an appearance or two.
Well done to all who made finals. Mention to Ben B who came away with two silver medals from the 50 fly and 100 IM and to Harry McG who took silver in the 50 brs event. Also a shout out to the Friends Prep boys relay who won Gold in the 200 FTR with LCSC swimmers Ross G, Luke S and Harry McG on the team. Congratulations to all who competed. Anyone missed or pictures please fwd on.
We are proud to announce that the following swimmers have been selected for the Ulster Schools Interprovincial Team team for the upcoming Irish Schools Interprovincial Championships which will take place in Castlebar on 19th April 2020.
Due to the large number of swimmers from Lisburn CSC selected we have also been asked to provide a coach to assist with the team and David Stronge will be our representative.
