LTS Teacher Bio – Pat Napier
Pat is another of our very experienced teachers that make up the Lisburn City Swimming Club Learn to Swim (LTS) Team. She grew up on a farm and was a self taught swimmer with a natural feel for the water.
Coming from a nursing background, she had to give that up after her twins were born. Her passion for swimming was reignited when her brother became unwell and she turned to volunteering with Lisburn City Swimming Club, working initially with a group of disability swimmers as a source of distraction. Her experience working in a Social Communication Unit with children with autism helped her to develop a connection with the swimmers she teaches.
Having obtained her Level 1 & 2 Teaching Qualifications, she joined our LTS staff in 2008 and really enjoys working with children, and especially the one to one interactions in the pool, when teaching swimmers with learning disabilities.
She is a great asset to our LTS programme, and we love having you as part of our teaching team
