WISE International schools gala

Rachel Smyth (Girls club captain) has just returned from this competition. Below is her report on the event. Well done Rachel on your success.

W.I.S.E International Schools Gala is when Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England compete against each other. The swimmers who win their events at the Irish Schools gala are selected to represent Ireland at the International Schools. This year England were the hosts and it was held in Sunderland. I competed in the 100 fly individual and also the fly in the 4x100mtr relay in which we came 3rd. I was very pleased with my swims as this was the first gala of the season and was also long course (50m). It was a great honor to be there representing Ireland. The trip was an amazing experience meeting so many new people, being away with the Irish Schools and also seeing what the other competition was like from the other teams. This trip was one I will never forget and one I hope to repeat again next year.
